Make the Call

Every call is a rescue mission.

Privacy

This is not a campaign. No parties, no candidates, no organizations. Just the offices of the people already in Congress.

What we store

Nonpartisan. No account. We save your ZIP to see where calls come from. Your email is only kept if you sign up for updates. We use a cookie to avoid counting you twice.

A commitment records your state, your 5-digit ZIP code, the congressional district that ZIP maps to, which offices you included, and the time. We do not store your name. A street address is used only to find a district and is not stored. There is no account.

After you commit, you can optionally ask for an email when the focus bill moves. That address goes to Buttondown, which sends the confirmation and handles unsubscribes. We do not store the address, and we do not attach it to your ZIP or your commitment. If that signup is turned off, the form is not shown.

We use a cookie to avoid counting you twice. It is a random id for this bill, kept for 30 days, so a return visit shows your call list again without adding another person to the counter. We also store a scrambled code from your network and browser for those same 30 days. We do not store your IP address.

Phone numbers and contact forms come from the Clerk of the House, the Senate, and each member's official website. District office numbers come from the public congress-legislators district-office list. District maps and city names come from the U.S. Census Bureau. A city name is used only to fill the script on your screen. It is not stored.

Counts

The public counter adds offline commitments gathered outside this site. That baseline is numbers in the server configuration, not a list of people. Offices contacted counts an office once it is part of any commitment, including those offline commitments. Per-ZIP totals are not on the public counter.

If the site operator turns on privacy-friendly counts, those counts use Plausible. Plausible does not use cookies. It records that a lookup, commitment, call, share, or PDF happened. It does not record your name, ZIP, or address.
